Ghosts in The Graveyard Redux: Spooky Outdoor Game for Kids Ages 5+

It's time for a glowing graveyard game! Some players are Ghosts, who hide and haunt. Others are Hunters, who search for the Ghosts. Once a Ghost is spotted, Hunters yell a warning and race back towards the safe zone. Tagged Hunters become Ghosts the next round. The game set includes 11 light-up game pieces.

To play, start by choosing one player to be the Ghost. All other players are Ghost Hunters and should wear lit bracelets. Next, light up the four green markers and place them in a square on the ground to create the Safe Zone. Define the playing area, the "Graveyard," ensuring all players know what is out of bounds.

The Ghost hides while the Ghost Hunters close their eyes and count down aloud from 20. The Hunters then search for the Ghost, using flashlights if required for safety or comfort. If a Ghost Hunter sees a Ghost, they shout, "There's a ghost in the graveyard! Run, run, ruuuun!" Once seen, Ghosts attempt to tag Hunters, who try to reach the Safe Zone before being tagged. Tagged Hunters become Ghosts, and the last Hunter tagged becomes the first Ghost the next round.

The game components are designed for active play. The glow bracelets are adjustable, with super-bright LEDs and replaceable batteries. The four Safe Zone lights have a simple on/off switch, with included and replaceable batteries. The game also includes a set of instructions with game setup, rules, and illustrations on a single sheet of colored cardstock.

This spooky glowing tag game can be played at Halloween events, in the backyard with family and friends, at youth activities, or during family nights. It works well both outdoors and indoors, as long as the playing area is safe for running and has places to hide. The game is designed for 4-8 players, with the option to add more by combining multiple sets.
